- Hello, I am the CEO of Westlands Water District, we are going to raise the Shasta Dam about 18 feet.
- Please don't. This raising will cause flooding in many of our sacred sites where we perform religious ceremonies.
- Sorry but, the Dam raise will make me more money.
- Well legally you shouldn't be able to because of undue burden. You would be destroying land where we perform religious ceremonies like puberty rock. Essentially ending our ability to practice our culture and religion
- Well not all the sacred sites would flood and some would only flood seasonally, so ceremonies could still be performed.
- We are also entitled to equal protection under the establishment clause.
- Why you guys don't have religious buildings.
- True but these Sacred sites are like the churches, temples mosques of your religions. And if it was one of those buildins getting knocked down thered no way the Dam would be allowed to get raised.
- You may be right but im still going to do what ever i can to raise this Dam and make more millions.
