- Cole found out, "To be invisible he had to clear his mind. That was the secret" (189).

- This might change things for Cole because he realizes that he has to be invisible in order for him to see the Spirit Bear. He had trouble along the way, but after several attempts he found out that to be positive and put all of his negative thoughts aside him. The changes things because every morning when he goes to soak in the pond, he clears his mind and helps him heals faster.
- The Spirit Bear repeats over and over again because it represents how Cole lives out by himself to try to not be so angry and when he first meets the Spirt Bear he gets angry because the Bear isn't afraid of him so he attacks it. This reveals about the conflict because he was sent to the island to learn from his past, and when the Spirt Bear attacked him he finally realized how he could change.
