- In 2055 Time Safari Inc. is a company that allows people to travel back in time to hunt dinosaurs. There are strict restrictions in place to ensure that the present is not messed with. However, a hunter falls on a butterfly on a time-travel safari, causing a huge flow effect through time.
- climax
- the story begins in 2055 at the time safari. Eckels pays $10,000 to travel to the past and shoot a dinosaur which was a Tryanasauraus Rex. Travis warns Eckels about the dangerous and warns him about the side effects of going off the path
- falling action
- Eckles sees the dinosaur and he realized he isn't ready for It and he also realized it was enormous so he backs down from shooting the dinosaur then he is told by Travis to go back to the time machine
- resolution

- when Eckels is on his way back to the time machine he steps off the path and that causes him to kill a butterfly
- on there way back to 2055 Travis is very mad about Eckels actions and for stepping off the path and Travis warns Eckels that if anything happened to the past he will be killing him
- when they returned to the present everything has changed the election has changed the English spelling and that all happened because of Eckels behavior and that caused Travis to kill eckels
