- This is some poor fellow's skull from the Battle Of Blenheim
- Old Kaspar was sitting in the Sun after finishing his work in his farm.
- Wilhemine (Kaspar's Granddaughter) saw her brother, Peterkin rolling something large, smooth and round beside the Rivulet. Peterkin wondering what this object was decides to take it to his grandfather.
- All praise the Duke Of Marlbro and Prince Eugene!!!
- When Kaspar sees it, he immediately identifies it to be a skull of a soldier from the Battle Of Blenheim. His grandchildren then asks him to tell about the war expecting a story.
- It was a wicked thing to do
- But, in the end, What good did the war bring?
- That i dont know, but it was a great victory
- Kaspar's Father lived in Blenheim but due to the war, his house was burned down and his family were forced to flee. Kaspar then talks about the bloodshed the war and how thousands of bodies can be found laying rotten in the Sun. Chiding mothers that lost their lives and the new borns lost their mother. Despite such a deleterious result from the war, Kaspar was still trying to justify that the war took place for a great cause.
- Despite having the war causing such a devastating outcome, the people praised the Duke Of Marlbro and Prince Eugene.
- The children questioned the grandfather on how the war was beneficial, but the grandfather couldnt give an appropriate reply and just said that it was a great war. The children were distraught by the fact that their grandfather was trying to justify the war despite what it has done to so many people and families.
