Mr. Ryan here, and we are going through a Time Travel to the book of James
Gosh, lets see what happens!
James was a very intelligent and holy man. Today we are going to look at one of his themes from the Book of James: Testing and Trials
come in!
In James POV, he believed that the overall theme in testing and trials is perseverance. In which perseverance works toward spiritual maturity and wholeness. He says that their is an award for everyone at the end of their trials.
An example in the OT is Joseph:Joseph was horribly mistreated by his brothers, “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save many people alive.” (Genesis 50:20)Although, Joseph trusted in the promises of God. He knew that God had a plan for his life. Joseph endured the difficulties because of his faith in God’s Word.
I will always trust in the Lord...no matter the circumstance.
An example of the NT is Paul: Paul endured this trial which caused him to depend more upon the Lord. He was told by God that the affliction was to show the power of God through a weakened life.God told Paul that His grace was sufficient. It was sufficient for Paul; God’s grace is sufficient for us today.
Everything I do, is for God
WOW!
This theme shows us that we are stronger than our trials. We can live this out by always going back to Jeremiah 29:11 whenever we are in times of trouble!
