- Zeus has appeared to let loose a huge storm; we will have to wait it out. In the meantime, do NOT eat the cattle! I will be back soon, as I have to go pray to the gods.
- I have to make a plan...
- But I'm soooo hungry!
- After Ulysses and his men escape Scylla and Charybdis, they reach the Island of Thrinacia (the island where the Sun God's Cattle are). Ulysses hesitates to go on the Island as the ghost of Tiresias warns him that if anyone eats the cattle, then he will never see home again. But then a storm hit, so they took refuge on the island. They stay there for a month, and soon they run out of food, and the men start to get hungry. Some of the men want to go against Ulysses' orders and think of making a devious plan. The opportunity comes when Ulysses falls asleep, when he guarding the cattle.

- Hopefully Helios doesnt find out...
- WHAT HAVE YOU DONE! ZEUS, PLEASE FORGIVE MY CREW FOR WHAT THEY HAVE CONCOCTED!
- But we sacrificed the meat to the gods! They'll protect us!
- I have to go tell Helios!
- While Ulysses is asleep guarding the cattle, his crew executes their plan and slaughter the cattle and eat them. The crew thinks that they would rather die with a full stomach than die from starvation. But they were careful, they slaughtered 6 cows and made a sacrifice to god before having their meal. When Ulysses comes back, he is surprised to see what his crew has done. Helios spies tell Helios about the situation, and he wants to punish everyone who eats the cattle. So he goes to Zeus and asks him to punish the crew, or else he will shine the sun in the underworld instead.

- Gods, please help me! My entire crew is dead!
- Ulysses' men persuade Ulysses to eat the meat, lying that they are actually from six stags they found on the Island. Soon, the south wind stops blowing, and the men set out on their journey, but then they experienced a terrible storm sent by Zeus as a punishment. This causes a shipwreck, and all of Ulysses' men die. Ulysses makes a little makeshift raft, and then he sees a shift in the wind, which takes him back to Charybdis and Scylla. He clings on to a piece of moss to not get into Charbydis' belly, as it was her gulp of water that day. He hung there for hours and hours together. This shows that you should never give in to greed, no matter what, because it always has side effects.
