I wish the curriculum had more task-based real world example connection, and more time to teach content, and we had materials and , manipulatives to teach the students. I feel like the curriculum we use is more supplemental. I find myself having to introduce my topics and than start the lesson to make sure student really understand which puts me behind in scoping sequence

That is fine we just have to make sure that there is cohesiveness in the assessments we will use to test students.
I think a resource library can be made for teachers to pull from and there is a scoping sequence on what standards we need to teach and we have the create and teach to our students.

I usually create and plan the math curriculum in the summer, however with the new ideas presented this is something I can not do alone, so I would need everyone's help

Yes i think if we collaborate more then there will be more buy in from all teacher and less complaints about the curriculum.
