My, what a lovely cake! If only I knew the diameter and circumference I could make it at home!
Diameter
The Diameter is 2 times the radius. The radius is half the diameter. To find the circumference you use the formula 2πr.In some cases you can use 3.14 for an estimation for Pi.
Let's do an example!
But what do you mean the radius is half the diameter? And what does 2πr mean?!
Radius: Half the diameter

The diameter is two times the radius. Meaning you have to multiply the radius by 2. Radius is 6. Times it by 2. 6 x 2 = 12"Easy peasy! That means the diameter is 12 inches. Now this part can get a little tricky. 2πr means 2 times the radius, (example above) times Pi. Sometimes the question will ask for an estimation of the circumference. Then you will need to times it by 3.14. Example: Make an estamation on what the diameter and circumference is of the biggest cake. 6 x 2 = 12 The diameter is 12 inches Now we multiply it by 3.14 for the estimation. 12 x 3.14 = 37.68"The circumference for the big cake pan is 37.68". The same process goes for the medium and small cake pan. Medium pan: D= 10" C= 31.4" Small Pan: D= 6" C= 18.84

Glad I could help! Invite me over when the cake is finished!

Well your in luck! I remember how to do both. Why don't we break it down.
WOW! Who knew finding the diameter and circumference was so easy! I better get looking for the cake pans!
