Constatine

Constantine was born somewhere between 275 to 284 CE. His father was Flavius Constantius. His Father went to the western part of the empire and became co emperor. Constantine went to the east, where he learned Greek and Latin.

In 305 Constantines father had become emperor. Constantine join the military and fought in Britain. The next year his father died and Constantine was declared emperor by his troops.
Constantine had to fight Maximians son Maxentius. They fought at the bridge at Tiber River. Constantine won and became emperor of the western side.
In the fight against Maxentius, Constantine demanded that the soldiers shields had crosses on them. He then legalised Christianity and became Christian himself.
Constantine became emperor of both the East and West side of the Roman Empire. To unify the empire he created a Catholic Church, which meant Universal.
Constantine fell extremely ill. Before he died he told his bishops to baptise him in the River Jordan, where Christ was baptised
