Hi Uday! All's good, however surprisingly I was on a leave for 6 days and 8 leaves were deducted from my leave balance....

The policy helps plan vacations in advance, I usually take off from Saturday to Sunday of the following week...
When term holidays or weekend falls between two availed leaves then they all merged together and are considered as sandwich leaves.
Oh, that's a great tip.. If I do so, I'll be able to take long leaves of 9 days without being impacted and will have to only apply for 5 days..
