To find out what part of the bacteria is responsible for the transformation, we just have to add 3 different enzymes into three different tubes containing the heat killed S-Strain and the R-Strain.
We use RNase, breaking down RNA, DNase, breaking down DNA and protease, what breaks down protein.
After mixing each of the enzymes with the bacteria, only the tube with DNase contained transformations, what means DNA has to hold the genetic information.

To validate the experiments about DNA, we can use bacteria phages, a virus that infects bacteria. We include one phage with DNA and one with protein, and label the phages with two different radioactive atoms to track them. When a phage infects a host bacterium, it attaches itself to the walls and enters it later. Then, a piece of the phages enters the bacterium and subsequently replicate itself.
As we can see, only the phage containing DNA was able to fulfill the process of replication. That is another proof of how DNA holds genetic information.

I can see a dark X line at the DNA using X-Ray crystallography. The DNA might be structured as a Helix with the bases in the outside and the sugars etc. in the inside.
