There are 31 countries in NATO which are Canada, France, Belgium, Bulgaria, Finland, Spain, Croatia, U.S, Romania Slovenia, Slovakia, Albania, Denmark, Estonia, France, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Turkey, Luxembourg, Greece, Germany, Portugal, England, and Czech Republic.

New members who join must be making progress towards a market economy. Their military forces also must be under civilian control. They also must be good neighbors to other countries. They also must have a democracy
