- Griffin tries to undo his invisibility and keep it a secret.An injured Griffin sneaks into Dr. Kemp's house in Burdock and hides in an upstairs room. Although Griffin randomly chooses Kemp's house to hide in, it turns out that he and Dr. Kemp attended college together.
- Climax
- Griffin tells Kemp the story of his invisibility.Kemp writes a note to Colonel Adye, Burdock's chief of police, informing him that the Invisible Man has shown up at Kemp's house.

- Kemp betrays Griffin by alerting the police to his presence.Griffin manages to escape from Kemp's house and begins a pre-chase against Griffin.
