- The story takes place in Margie's house on May 17, 2157. Margie and Tommy, the two main characters live in a time where books are replaced by telebooks. The story starts with Tommy finding an actual book in the attic.
- Huh ? What's this ?Its an old book !! Let me show it to Margie.

- Margie even wrote about it that night in her diary. On the page headed 17 th May, 2157, she wrote;
- 17 May, 2157 '' Today, Tommy found a read book!''

- It was a very old book, Margie's grandfather said that there was a time when all the storybooks were printed on paper
- Words that stood still without moving ? How extraordinary!!
- Margie was eleven and hadn't seen as many telebooks as Tommy had. He was thirteen.
- In my house, in the attic
- SCHOOL!
- Where did you find it ?
- What's it about ?
- Margie was scornful. She always hated school, but now she hated it more than ever.
- SCHOOL ?
- There was a time, when all the stories were printed on paper. They turned the pages which were yellow and crinkly, and it was awfully funny to read words that stood instead of moving, you know ?
- GEE ! What a waste, Our television must have a million books on it!
- What's there to write about school ? I hate school.
