  • A diploid cell has double the number of chromosomes of a haploid cell. In humans a diploid cell contains 46 chromosomes.diploid cells are found all over the body.

  • A haploid cell has half the number of chromosomes of a diploid cell. In humans a haploid cell contains 23 chromosomes. An examples of haploid cells are sperm and egg cells.
