- Ada Lovelace was a mathmatician and writer. She was born on 10 December 1815. she was a fascinatingly imaginative and intellectually unusual woman. At the age of 12 or 13, she made meticulous plans to build herself a large pair of wings and to try to fly.
- At seventeen years old, she became good friends with an English mathematician and inventor called Charles Babbage. They met at a party in London on June 5, 1833.

- Babbage started to work on the Analytical Engine. Ada became deeply interested and translated from the original French a paper written about the Analytical Engine by an Italian scientist.
