- We need to act fast, the public needs to be informed of this outbreak, before it gets out of hand
- We have been inundated with patients presenting with same symptoms and its contagious, some elderly people have died, The labs have confirmed a new strain

- To Public Health Officer Notification of possible epidemic: Notable increase in number of patients presenting with similar symptoms. A rise in number of deaths as a result. Lab confirmed the new strain of Sars-Cov-2 Urgent intervention required to contain the spread.
- I must notify the Public Health officer before this outbreak takes the lives of more people.
- Springville Hospital - High Care UnitThe healthcare workers are concerned about a possible new infectious disease as multiple patients require hospitalization. They realise that it could be a more serious public health problem than originally anticipated.

- I'm reporting live from Springville community Hospital, where they have had an increase in Sars- Cov-2 infections. I'm here with the mayor and superintendent who will shed more light on the situation

- Multidisciplinary team meetingThe Dr presents his cases of patients with the new strain to the team and the superintendent initiates an action plan for the hospital and will notify the authorities. The team gets to work...

- Hmm … with all the stories going around, people don't know what are facts and what are myths
- The Public health officer immediately responds to the superintendents emailed notification. A team of specialists is tasked to investigate and take necessary actions to contain the spread of the outbreak and find a treatment plan. He also thinks its a good time to notify the public before panic sets in.

- I'm happy to see the decline in cases, after having a huge response to the vaccine campaign.

- News broadcast:The mayor declares a local state of disaster for the Springville community. He further announces a local lockdown to restrict movements in and out of the town, banned all social gatherings with immediate effect. Wearing a mask and sanitizing are enforced. The aim is to flatten the curve of new infections. Scientists are in the process of developing a vaccine. Research studies are underway.
