There were no African American students at the Little Rock Central High. a group of nine black students, called The Little Rock Nine were chosen to integrate into the white school. After hearing about what happned, President Eisenhower sent the 101st Airborne Division to Little Rock on September 24th to ensure the children could go to school. presidents Eisenhower said "we need to desegregate the children in schools."

Black children were denied addmission into public schools because of segregation laws. It was decided by a unanimous vote that seperate but equal facilities for education violated the 14th admendment
Bulah v. Gebhart
Black families were frustrated with the inequitable conditions in schools reserved for African American children. Sarah Bulah, a parent who had made several attempts to convince the Delaware Department of Public Instruction to provide bus transportation for black children in the town of Hockessin. The chancellor ruled that is the plantiffs were being denied equal pretection of the law and ordered that the 11 kis involved be immediately addmitted into a white school
