- Kinship relationships can offer vital social, emotional, and financial support. They can help persevere traditions, beliefs, and values, it allows for cultural practices to keep on going generation after generation. Understanding how kinship works will not only help us understand social structure and culture values, but it will expand our knowledge of different cultures and how they work as a community.

- How inclusivity in language is extremely important and it also allows us to represent where we are from. Have pride on how we speak, what language we speak and our accents it’s crucial, it makes us who we are. Judgment towards others and specifically how they speak is awful,
- very sad how others may not understand the importance of language. Celebrating linguistic diversity will allow us and others to understand and appreciate other cultures. Learning this will help me when I work in the medical field, understanding and respecting my patients language.

- Cultural differences was a topic that impacted me a lot, after doing essay number one. I completely fell in love with learning about different cultures, traditions, and practices. The Ma’nene ritual is one that I will forever remember. Learning about the Torajan people and they’re different interpretations of a religion and rituals, was so fascinating!
