- Ugh! I don't feel like carrying this couch downstairs!
- If I throw this couch out the window, gravity can help me bring the couch downstairs faster!
- My couch broke because gravity was too strong! That really brings me down!
- Gravity is a force that pulls objects towards each other. Two things that affect gravity are mass and distance. The mass of the Earth is much bigger than the couch, and the distance is close, so gravity is pulling the couch towards the Earth and closer to the first floor, where she wants to bring the couch.
- The reason the couch breaks is because of the force of gravity. The farther the couch is thrown from the more force that occurs when gravity pulls it to the ground, so it breaks.
