- You got an Email, let's check it.
- I can't believe someone would say that about me!
- In this situation, Sam is a bystander because she sees what is happening. If she decides to do soemthing about it, she will then be an upstander.
- Marissa is clearly upset, and that wasn't a very nice thing that was said to her at all.What should I do?
- Hey, it's ok. Don't listen to them, they are probably just jealous or insecure. How about we play a board game to take yopur mind off of this.
- Doing this, Sam is both reminding Marissa that the bully is wrong and is also taking Marissa's mind off of it.
- When Sam returns home, she calls Marissa's mother because she was very worried for Marissa. Marissa's mom takes care of the rest and the bully stops contacting Marissa!
- Thank you so much for standing up for me! You are the best friend!
- Of course, that's what friends are for!
- Sam is considered an upstander, because she stood up for Marissa and helped her out.
