Hunger Games Chapt 1

Katniss hates cats
Gale is introduced
Getting ready
Katniss wakes up and sees her sister (Primrose) sleeping with their mother. She sees the cat and doesn’t like it. The cat is guarding Primrose. The cat distrusts her. Primrose named him Buttercup and he has half of one ear missing.
Arriving
Katniss goes to the forest behind a wire fence and meets her friend Gale. He’s 2 years older than her and they have been friends for a long time. Katniss and Gale have a feast with the bread that Gale brought and the cheese that Prim gave to ger sister Katniss.
The moment before someone gets picked
Katniss and Primrose both get ready for the reaping. Katniss uses her mother’s dress and shoes which are very precious to her mum. After that, they hear a sound and know that it is time to go and see who gets chosen for the Hunger Games.
Who gets chosen?
Katniss and Primrose arrive at the place. Prim goes go her age children whilst Kat goes to her age people. She sees Gale with people his age.
Everyone watches a video and listens to a speach said by the person on the stage, Everyone fears being picked.
Its time for the first person to be picked. Ladies first. She puts her hand into the bowl with everyone’s names. The name she calls shocks two people. Kat and Prim. The first girl chosen was Primrose Everdeen.
