Cecilio Apostol recognized as "the greatest Filipino epic poet writing in Spanish." was Born at Sta. Cruz Manila on November 22, 1877
Cecilio finish his bachelor of arts education at Ateneo De Manila before studying again for law at Unoversity of Sto. Thomas.
He worked as a journalist for the revolutionary newspapers Independence, The Brotherhood, The Union, Renaissance and Democracy.
He got Maried with Margarita San Jose and bare six lovely children
Apostol joined the Nacionalista Party which wanted the independence of the Philippines from the United States.
On September 17, 1938, Apostol died of cerebral hemorrhage at his home in Caloocan at the age of 61.
