- Hey, my name is John Locke. In my Social Contract Theory, I said men give up some of their freedom for protection of their natural rights. I also believe in popular sovereignty. In my Tabula Rosa idea I said men are born blank and experience make us who we are.
- Why do you believe in the Social Contract Theory and are you trying to depose the divine right of kings?

- I believe in the Social Contract Theory because our natural rights are protected by the government so if we entrust our natural rights to the government then we give up some of our freedom. The governments power is not legitimate if it disregards the will of the people. Yes, I am deposing the divine right of kings. I don't think God gives the kings their power. He didn't choose them to rule over us. Who are you?
- Hi, I am Voltaire. I believe in religious tolerance. I believe in Deism, that the church and state should be separate, and that the purpose of life is to attain happiness through the progress of arts and science.

- Why do you believe in Deism and the separation of church and state?
- I believe in Deism because it suggests a creator but not divine intervention. I support separation of church and state because I don't believe religious institutions should have political power because it can lead to religious intolerance and I want the government to be based on reason.
