- Look! Look! A dead moongoose, let's have a funeral!
- During a huge summer flood, Rikki-Tikki was washed out of the burrow, where he lived with his mother and father, he rolled down a roadside ditch, where he clung on to a plant, until he was knocked out. He was revived in the hot sun in the middle of a garden path.
- No, lets take it inside and dry him, mabey its not dead.
- And thats a wild creature. I guess he is so tame, becuase we've been so kind to him.
- The Family warmed him and wraped him in cotton wool. So he woke up and sneezed.
- Ouch! He is tickiling under my chin.
- Rikki-Tikki Curled Up on Teddy's Pillow.
- I don't like that. He may bite the child.
- He'll do no such thing. Teddy is safer with that little Beast, then if he had a Bloodhound to watch him.
- The Next day Rikki-Tikki was in the garden for the first time and heard crying from the tree he was near. In the tree there were 2 birds i thier nest.

- We are very misserable.One of our babies fell out of the tree yesterday, and Nag ate him!
