This will start with a new scene and could be introduced with the student going to a coffee shop after they leave their house from the first scene. He would then demonstrate the DNS concept by sending a URL into the laptop and then that URL is converted in to a private IP address then it will become a public IP address that will then go to the DNS server and find that URL that the person typed and send that output back to the student and that URL will then displayed on the computer screen.
DNS
PRIVATE 10.0.0.1
Entered Yahoo.com
PUBLIC 172.16.1Yahoo.com
So if the web address is not cached in the memory then then a query is sent to the next level which is the ISP.
DNS Server
The resolver will check its own cache memory for yahoo.com. If the address is not in the cache the resolver will send the address to the yahoo web server and retrieve the page
If the resolver is not able to find the yahoo.com address in the resolver then it will go to the ROOT server.
RESOLVER
so DNS basically works like a phonebook as you look up the name then get the number
If the ROOT server is the .com DNS Server. If the ROOT does not know it will go to the Top Level Domain server.
172.16.1yahoo.com
DNS
Here the student would go to a library or a coffee shop to connect with the WIFI in either place. This is where the student would type in the URL and then that would go out and be converted into a binary in search of an IP address associated with the address.
To wrap up this exercise will have two scenes one which takes place in either a coffee shop or a library and the second scene in the server room.
This is simply added as a choice for the customer: And it is often-used analogy to explain the Domain Name System is that it serves as the phone book for the Internet by translating human-friendly computer hostnames into IP addresses. For example, the domain name www.example.com translates to the addresses 93.184.216.34 (IPv4) and 2606:2800:220:1:248:1893:25c8:1946 (IPv6).
