My dad was a rescue helicopter pilot with the United States Coast Guard. He was responsible for flying into storms to save lives. Growing up, he taught me how anthropogenic climate change was making storms more frequent and intense, impacting his and other pilots' safety. This was when my interest in climate change started.

My undergraduate institution didn't have a lot of coursework related to environmental science, so I mostly learned relevant material through my internships. I held 6 internships during undergrad, with my favorite being at the NYS Attorney General's Office as an Environmental Science Policy Intern.
Further, I was a Biology major, and hence have relatively little coursework/experience with finance/accounting. But I am extremely excited to learn more through this course and during my time at SUMA!

I am very interested in environmental and climate policy, and am hoping to use this course to learn more about how we can use financial models to assist the clean energy transition. I am excited to bring these financial tools to a career in environmental policy!
