- traders come to Africa to buy SLAVES that they will bring across the MIDDLE PASSAGE to the COLONIES so that they can be sold
- The Work
- The MIDDLE PASSAGE was the most grueling leg of the TRIANGULAR TRADE between Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
- The System
- The SLAVES were sent away to the americas where they were sold to the highest bidder.
- The SLAVES were made to work up to 48 hours at a time and often died very quickly
- The system in place in Europe during this time was MERCANTILISM this system is why the COLONIES wanted so many slaves.
