- i was sad to leave my homeland of Somalia, but the desertification was too much to handle and we couldn't keep growing our food/crops.
- Famine swept through the nation, Climate was changing. Droughts got worse and rainy season came with more flooding, our lives are slowly being destroyed while the government does nothing. The cause for all of this was the result of continued use of fossil fuels by big corporations.
- We rarely have enough food to eat
- my family and i soon left our village soon after our house was bombed. while escaping we lost 2 of my brothers as well as my dad.
- i somehow landed in Jijiga, Ethiopia. I had to sleep on the streets for almost a year, i was lost, hungry and scared.
- soon after turning 8 i was able to get in contact with my mom.
- 2 years later i was able to live with my aunt. later 3 youth refugees from somalia came to live with us. we worked hard so we could live in europe and now i made it safely to italy.
