The quartering act of 1765 demanded that the colonies were required to house and give British soldiers what they need.
If houses were too small, soldiers would be sent to local inns and hotels. The colonies were furious because they had to keep a solider in their home.
Although they were mad, they had to follow the rules whether they liked it or not, because the soldiers were protecting them and they needed something back in return.
