Jackson I just wanted to inform you that you really need to perform well to boost your grade for the class due to the missing assignments you have piled up
Professor why do I have to put so much effort into something I just don't feel passionate about?
Jackson, listen sometimes in life we all have to do things we aren't particularly passionate about to succeed and I really wish to see you succeed
שקופית: 6
The terminal!! no way lets go take a trip for your research
It was alright, I was late again, and I have to do a project on the Grand central terminal
שקופית: 7
This is the Grand central terminal it was built 113 years ago, it was created as a response to a tragedy where two trains collided and killed 15 people.
Jackson are you even listening?
This was one of the largest projects of its time costing nearly 2.7 billion in todays dollars and was one of the first stations to include things such as ramps, artwork on the ceiling and..
How are you going to be an architect and pass this class if you don't pay attention
שקופית: 8
Dad I'm not going to be an architect I have never wanted to be one I don't know why you insist on forcing me down a path that is not meant for me
How would you feel if your entire life you were told what you were supposed to be since you entered school it's suffocating and restricting it's like I don't have control over my own future, it feels like walking except I can't turn left or right I have one way only and every other way is wrong without even being able to see what's around me
I am not you and I never will be just because you're an architect doesn't mean I have to be one I said I didn't want to go down that path ever since I was little, but you never listened to me, why do I have to care about this terminal what does it have to do with me?
שקופית: 9
I was way too harsh on my dad I still love him even if it is restricting, I guess I'll give it a real try and see where this goes
שקופית: 10
No problem, Jackson thanks for visiting you know you're always welcome here.
wow I never knew the terminal was so connected to our family that explains why my dad kept pushing me to be an architect he wanted me to feel the joy he felt when you took him
I was a real jerk to him I got to apologize thanks for the story grandpa that helps my research for my school project
שקופית: 11
I took your father there as a kid and he loved it so much it was what inspired him to be an architect so in a way that terminal is special to us
Hey grandpa, thanks for meeting with me I just wanted to ask if you knew anything about the Grand central terminal since it was around you and your fathers time
I do remember the terminal actually your great grand father was apart of the team that worked on it and he took me all the time as a boy it definitely meant a lot to the community they even rallied to fight to preserve it when it was ready to be demolished in the 1970's. I think the gunk is still left there on the ceiling to show how it was when we didn't take care of it.

Hey dad I'm really sorry I was being a jerk I never knew that the terminal was so connected to our family and I know you wanted to share something with me so, I want to give architecture a fair chance
שקופית: 13
Well, I look forward to seeing your presentation today and seeing how it goes
Hey professor I just wanted to apologize for not giving the course a chance the way I should have thank you for not giving up on me, I want to take this course seriously and give it my best effort

The grand central terminal was created in 1913 costing 2.7 billion dollars in today's money and was constructed over 10 years after a fatal crash in 1902 that killed 15 people causing a need for revolution in public transport
The terminal was on the verge of being destroyed in the 1970's however due to the pain caused by the demolition of its rival Penn Station citizens rallied and fought for the terminal to preserve it for our generation and even generations beyond that.
The terminal was also an architectural masterpiece with its beautiful artwork portraying a zodiac esque design
The terminal has been a constant part of the New York community and served us from the day it was created to currently right now 111 years later where 750,000 people visit every day.
The terminal was also a major part of my life showing how much it impacts community as my great grandfather was on the team that constructed it and it caused my father to pursue architecture
We should celebrate the legacy the terminal has left behind and love it as if it were another person in New York because it served us for its entire lifespan so in turn, we should give it the love it deserves
