- Good Morning Everyone, Today we are learning about the history of discipline in the classroom.
- what does that mean?
- Yeah! Doesn't everyone get disciplined at school?
- Sadly no. Researchers say "African American boys are more likely to be disciplined and suspended from school"(Rudd,2014,p.1)
- Why does this only happen to black kids?
- Well, kids thats the million dollar question. According to research "black kids are being suspended for minor things like talking back or writing on your desk"(Rudd,2014, p.2)
- Why does this only happen to black kids?
- That's insane! I have written on my desk so many times and nothing happened
- Yes Kaitlyn, some people think it is what they deserve, but the black kids are not even acting out or anything
- So they don't even deserve to be disciplined and still are?
- Of course nothing happened Timothy. You are not black!
- Timothy please calm down. You didn't get in trouble for writing on your desk, cause when someone sees you they dont assume the worst. A black man in America is always assumed to be the worst.

- I know I am not black Symone I am just emphasizing how racist that is. GOSH
- Look Everyone, Black people are targeted more than any race. We have to be on our best behavior at all times or we are "Acting Out". It is sad but is it reality
