Anthony Hendricks Fever 1793

Fever 1793 is about a girl who went through yellow fever in 1793 and what she went through. My favorite part of the story is when Mattie and Grandfather get kicked off the wagon and Mattie has to take care of them. Mother got sick, and Mattie and Grandfather had to take a wagon to the farm. They were stopped and not let into the next town. The guards would not let them pass because they said. Grandfather was sick. The farmer kicked Mattie and Grandfather out and left them on the side of the road with nothing. They found a spot to stay. Grandfather was taking a nap, so Mattie had to find food and water, which she gave to Grandfather. This is important because people don't want to get sick, and they will do anything not to get sick. We also see Mattie maturing.
