- The Filibusters were military adventurers who fought illegal wars. They wanted to take land from Spain.
- The Battle of Medina was the bloodiest battle in Texas History. The Spanish army defeated the Republican Army of the North.
- The Constitution of 1824 provided a way for the people of Mexico to be treated fairly and spread the power of the government to many.
