- To prevent it, Don’t carry all of your cards and ID’s in the same place, be careful when using ATMs, destroy all rental agreements, keep personal information safe in your home, shred documents after you don’t need them, review all bank statements, and sign up for do not call lists.
- Do you know what identity theft is and how you can prevent it?
- I keep getting packages that I didn't order, more calls than usual and they have my information. My credit cards are being used in places I'm not at.
- What can I do to defend myself now?
- Also make sure you are getting a free credit report so you know if you have any fraud activity.
- You need to contact the credit bureaus, then call the companies where the fraud took place, and last make a report.
