Gwendolyn Parker, known by many as the crime fighting detective, came into a final confrontation with her biggest arch nemesis, the Masked Man. 
As Gwendolyn raised her knife high, ready to bring down the final blow, she gave him the chance to leave any last words. 
Darling, you could never have saved all of us
Gwendolyn was left shocked, but moreover she was somewhat disappointed, as she had set out with a mission to kill the Masked Man with her own hands. 
Gwendolyn found an old brownish note in the possession of the Masked Man. She peeked in, and found the letter was in fact, addressed to her. Intrigued by this, she decided to read the note, a final evidence of the mass murderer

Through her reading, Gwendolyn discovered the sad background of the Masked Man, who had been somewhat cursed, with a severe bipolar desease

Unbeknownst to her, upon their first confrontation, he fell in love with her. He didn’t know how to explain and proclaim his love, considering their opposition towards one another. But he explained in the note, how she had somewhat became his source of happiness
