- Caliph Al Mansur wanted his capital to be closer to his empire, so when it was moved the site that was chosen was Baghdad. This helped the empire a lot because it was closer to all of the trade routes.
- Art and Music
- We should go practice our calligraphy!
- NO! We should practice our singing!
- The compass was very important to the Muslims, some of them pointed towards mecca so they could pray, and others used them to find out which way they were traveling!

- He´s the father of algebra!
- In hospitals, anyone could get treatment, there were new forms of helping the sick and hundreds of new medicines. Amputations started becoming more well known, and they were now able to take out tumors.

- In the Muslim world they practiced calligraphy which is the art of beautiful handwriting, they also valued music so they practiced singing, and playing instruments.
- Algebra was founded in the Muslim world, Al- Khawarizmi is known as the ¨Father of Algebra¨ he figured out how to solve equation with unknown values and it is still used today!
- Do you know who Al-Khwarizmi is?
- Scholarship was very highly valued in the Muslim world, they learned Arabic was one of the most used languages then, there was one school founded in 830 called ¨The Hall Of Wisdom¨. It was one of the best schools then.
