- Basically-- For every 5 slaves, That's 3 free men! Now that that's settled, Everyone's cool again and on track with the constitution.
- Well, Let's all compromise! New Jersey's plan is 1 House Legislature, 1 vote per state, Etcetera. Virginia's plan is 2 House Legislature, # of representatives based on population, 3 branches of government, Etcetera!
- Hm. Virginia's plan is better, We're gonna go with that. We're also throwing away the Articles of Confederation because those sucked.
- Alright, Everybody likes the 3 branches. But nobody can agree on representation.
- Hey! Let's create another compromise! It's called the 3/5's Compromise!
- Nope. Now people can't agree on what slaves should count towards. The south wants them to count towards population but not taxation, And the north the complete opposite.
- But now, We've created the Senate and the House of Representatives! Everybody's happy!
- I'm so sorry that this sucks, I cannot figure out how to work this or add slides for the life of me.
