- Coyote was traveling the world and did many good things such as killing evil spirits.
- No. if you are Coyote, let me see you do it.
- I will send messages to the earth by the spirits of the people who reach me but whose time to die has not yet to come. They will carry messages to you from time to time.
- The coyote was sent by the old man to teach people songs, and how to do daily life things.
- When their spirits come back into their bodies, they will revive and tell you their experiences. Coyote and myself, we will not be seen again until earthwoman is very old.
- When i come along, all the spirits of the dead will be with me. there will be no more Other Side Camp. All the people will live together earthmother will go back to her first shape and live as a mother among her children. Then thing will be made right.
- Then we shall return to earth, for it will require a change by that time. Coyote will come along first, and when you see him, you will know i am coming.
- Coyote started playing too many tricks and it led to people killing him
- Old man claims that he had sent Coyote to set the world right but Coyote does not believe him and thinks he is a fraud, Coyote tells Old man to move a lake one side to another and Old man tells him the same thing to prove who they are to each other.
- No, you never sent me. I don't know you. If you are the chief, take that lake over there and move it to the side of that mountain.
- Once Coyote had moved the lake and the Old man had put it back, the Old man told Coyote that his time is done and Coyote disappeared and the old man told the Indians that Coyote and himself shall return when mother earth gets old and is time for a change.
- The moral of the story is that everybody has a purpose in life and once you fulfill that purpose then the job is done.
