- Denial was able to make progress against the defending troops, but waited at the second wall for reinforcements. By the time reinforcements arrived, the British were ready forcing the patriots to call of the attack.
- Benedict Arnold betrayed the Americans and surrendered the Hudson River dor money and a command in the British army.
