- Prisons were overcrowded and filthy. They were poor conditions and usually had many diseases like small pox dysentry and pneumonia.
- Medicine
- most were short encounters. defending soldiers stood in a double line while attacking soldiers march to the beat of a drum.bloodiest battles were gettysburg shiloh and antiem creek.
- medicine and hospitals were terrible. Most were just tents. They were poorly funded and patients were not put to sleep during the procedure. They were wide awake. Also most body parts would just be amputated. Then since they were awake they would have rather died than being awake for the amputation of their body part.
