إعداد القصة هو أهم الزمان والمكان. تدور أحداث قصة Amal Unbound في العصر الحديث في مقاطعة Pujab في باكستان. تدور أحداث القصة في قرية أمل بشكل أساسي في منزل عائلتها وأيضًا في ملكية جواد صاحب. يمكن للطلاب استخدام خريطة الإعداد لتوضيح الإعدادات المختلفة في الكتاب وكتابة وصف موجز لكل مكان في مربع الوصف.
