- Scene 3-Entrance of Kuper Island residential school
- This is a very big building...
- Joey hangs on agent MacDonald's car because he wishes to go with his brothers on a car ride. Agent MacDonalddecides to bring him along even though Joey is too young to go to school.
- Scene 4-Dock of Kuper Island residential school
- Joey, his brothers and the other children watch his father fight to keep Joey and is brothers home in Tsarslip. Agent MacDonald threatens to put Joey's father and mother in jail if he does not back down.
- Scene 5-Junior boy's dorm in kuper island residential school
- He smells alot.
- Joey is walked to the door of Kuper Island residential school. He thinks to himself how big and impressive the building is.
- Scene 6-Shore near Chemainus
- I am finally going home.
- Joey watches silently his brother Wilson being carried out of the school to the boat. He hopes that he is going to the hospital to become healthy.
- Joey is introduced to Stumpy for the first time. he thinks to himself how smelly, short and dirty he is.
- Joey and Stumpy escape Kuper Island residential school and canoe to the shore Chemainus. He has a strong feeling that he is finally going home.
