- “How?,Amontillado? A pipe? Impossible! And in the middle of the carnival!”
- I was having a blast when I ran into this guy named Montresor. He told me that he had received a pipe that passes for Amontillado but I did not believe him for one bit.

- “Luchesi cannot tell Amontillado from Sherry.”
- Everyone knew that I'm the one with all the knowledge about wine. How dare Montresor come her and try to insult intelligence about wine. Do he not no who I am and how much I know about wine?
