On the other hand, patriots didn't approve of the Stamp Act. They were also known as the Liberty Boys.

The battle of Kettle Creek was on February 14, 1779. It was the first major victory for the patriots during the Revolutionary War. A few months after this battle, there was another battle called the Siege of Savannah, in which the British won.
