טקסט Storyboard

  • STEP 1: HOUSEKEEPING
  • STEP 2: INTRODUCTION
  • STEP 3: ROUND 1 RULES
  • STEP 4: ROUND 1 Q&A
  • STEP 5: ROUND 1 FEEDBACK
  • STEP 6: ROUND 1 SCORES
  • Divide the class into teams of 4-6 students and assign each team a name or number. If students do not have any, hand out paper and pens for later rounds (2&3). Allow each team to pick a buzzer sound per the instruction manual (see section 3.1)
  • STEP 7: TIEBREAKER (OPTIONAL)
  • Introduce the game, including the aim of the game by using the suggested script contained in the instruction manual (section 3.1). Read out rules 1 and 2 (section 3.1). [display slides 1-2]
  • STEP 8: ROUND 1 REWARD
  • Read out rules 3-6 (inclusive) as outlined in the instruction manual (section 3.1). DO NOT read out rules 7 or 8. [display slide 3]
  • STEP 9: ROUND 2 RULES
  • Select a mix of 5-7 Q&A cards covering each theory, from the Q&A Card Deck (section 3.2). Read each question aloud, and allow the team which buzzes in first to answer. Keep a score sheet (see section 3.1 for suggested layout). Planned time: 3-4 mins.
  • STEP 10: ROUND 2 SCENARIOS
  • Provide feedback to teams on questions, if/which teams answered incorrectly. See some suggested feedback on Q&A cards. Planned time: 1-2 mins.
  • STEP 11: ROUND 2 RESPONSES
  • Double check, finalise and announce team scores at the end of round 1. If the highest scoring teams are tied at the end of Round 1, proceed to step 7. [display slide 4]
  • STEP 12: COLLECT ANSWER SHEETS
  • If top scoring teams are tied, apply rule 8: allow teams to call for head/tails, and flip a coin. The winner of the coin toss will receive the reward outlined in step 8. The loser of the coin toss will be deemed runner up as per rule 7. [display slide 20]
  • Allow the winning team to choose between 2 rewards: 1. Burning down any other team's ladder (reducing that teams ladder points to 0) OR 2. Stealing half of the runner up's ladder points. Make necessary adjustments to the scoresheet. [display slide 5]
  • Read out rules 9-11 (inclusive), as outlined in the instruction manual (section 3.1). DO NOT read out rules 12 or 13. [display slide 6]
  • Read scenario 1 aloud. Inform teams they have 3 mins to discuss and write down answers on a sheet of paper. [display slide 7]
  • Allow one member from each time one minute to read out their response. Make notes on each teams' responses, and award points where appropriate. [see suggested responses on slide 8].
  • Collect the answer sheets for scenario 1 once all teams have provided their responses. Ensure team names/numbers are present on each sheet.
  • STEP 13: SCENARIO FEEDBACK
  • STEP 14: REPEAT STEPS 10-13
  • STEP 15: ROUND 2 SCORES
  • STEP 16: TIEBREAKER (OPTIONAL)
  • STEP 17: ROUND 2 REWARD
  • STEP 18: ROUND 3 RULES
  • Provide teams with feedback for their responses. Outline what good responses would have included, and how many points each team received for their responses to the scenario. Planned time 1-2 mins. [display slide 8]
  • STEP 19: ROUND 3
  • Repeat steps 10-13 (inclusive) for scenarios 2 and 3. [display slides 9-12]
  • STEP 20: TIEBREAKER (OPTIONAL)
  • Double check, finalise and announce team scores at the end of round 2. If the highest scoring teams are tied at the end of round 2, proceed to step 16. [display slide 13]
  • STEP 21: ANNOUNCE WINNER!
  • If top scoring teams are tied, apply rule 13: allow teams to call for head/tails, and flip a coin. The winner of the coin toss will receive the reward outlined in step 12. [display slide 20]
  •
  • Announce that the winning team can choose to steal one member from any other team to join their team (as per rule 12, section 3.1) [display slide 14]
  •
  • Read out rules 14-16 (inclusive) as outlined in the instruction manual (section 3.1). DO NOT read out rule 17. [display slide 15]
  •
  • Repeat steps 10-13 (inclusive) and step 15 to run round 3, but allow teams 5 rather than 3 mins to design training sessions. [display slides 16-7]
  • If top scoring teams are tied, apply rule 17: ask tied teams a final question (from Q&A deck section 3.2). The winner of tiebreak wins the round and the game. [display slide 19]
  • Announce the winning team (team with most ladder points). Congratulate every team for their effort and participation. [display slide 18]
