An old house in the countryside. Clara and Leo get out of the car with their parents. The atmosphere is peaceful, but the house has a mysterious air. (The parents unload boxes from the car while Clara stares thoughtfully at the symbols.)

What is this? It looks like a diary
Today I played with my imaginary friend. He told me to keep it a secret. He lives in the basement.
Dusty attic. Clara checks a wall with loose planks. Suddenly, she finds something hidden. (She opens it carefully. The pages are yellowed, written in childish handwriting.) (The attic light flickers. Clara remains thoughtful, holding the diary.)

Dark and damp basement. Clara sits on the floor, surrounded by old objects. Her diary is open in front of her, and she murmurs words while drawing symbols with chalk. (Silence. Suddenly, in the gloom, a faint whisper is heard, not coming from either of them.)Whisper (barely audible): "Do you want to play with me?"(Leo freezes. Clara looks up, her expression a mixture of curiosity and fear.)
Clara! What are you doing down here? You should stop!
