- Amal Unbound by Aisha Saeed is a book set in modern day in the Punjab Province of Pakistan. Pakistan is north west of India, east of Iran and Afghanistan, and south west of China.

- Amal is sent to live in Jawad Sahib's estate as an indentured servant. It is a massive, luxurious house with many servants.
