- Hello friend! My name is Adam and I've studied philosophy and science for very long. I have a wife and two small children named Tim and Jim. I own a bookstore on 32nd street and I like to tell my customers about philosophers and their astonishing ideas as they come by. Today I must take you on a journey to meet and learn about some fellow enlightenment thinkers! I have learned a lot from them and I think you will too; let's go!
- First we will talk to John Locke, one of the most influential thinkers of the era.
- Hello! I am John Locke, and I''m going to tell you about Natural Rights. Natural RIghts are the rights you are automatially born with: The right to life, the right to liberty, and the right to property. No one should have these rights taken away from them. It will help society if everyone can agree to this philosophy.
- Next we will talk to Galileo Galilei, the well known philosopher, astronomer, and mathematition.
- Greetings friend. Today I will tell you about two of my ideas; the first idea is the Scientific Method. The Scientific Method is used to answer a question. You must make a hypothesis and conduct experiments to see what ends up being true. My other theory is that the earth is heliocentric, or the earth revolves around the sun rather than beinggeocentric as people thought, or the earth being at the middle of the universe.
- Lastly, we will talk to the philosopher Baron de Montesque.
- The Central Government shouldn't have absolute power; goverments should use Seperation of Powerswhich is a system that splits the government into multiple divisions that have their own specific duties. These branches also check each other to make sure one part of the government doesn't have more power than the other.
