While other beaks in the birds in this area may be present, they will not be able to adapt and evolve like the other birds because of the beak, it doesnt allow them to be fit in this enviroment. Causing slow reproduction if any and low population
While birds with small beaks here will be the most fit, because of the food in this enviroment, small beaked birds eat small things, insects, This enviroment they will have a higher population because they are more adapted then big and long beaked birds.
As time eventually passes the birds with more adaptation in their enviroment will be more fit and have a high population, and reproduce way more then a species who is not as adapted as them. This is natural selection, it can be fair or unfair, but at times it's just the survival of the fittest
